PRESS RELEASE: NYCREW to Hold Panel Discussion On Traditional and Online Networking for Real Estate Professionals

New York, NY, February 20, 2008 – NYCREW, New York Commercial Real Estate Women’s Network, will hold a panel discussion titled “Effective Networking: How to be a Superstar.” The event will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, 6:00-8:00PM, at the Penn Club, located at 30 West 44th Street in Manhattan. The panelists will include Jennifer Magee, Co-Founder and CEO of UPworld.com, Trish Rubin of New York Minute, Olivia Fox Cabane of Spitfire Communications, and Gil Allison of Right Management. Diane Schottenstein, Esq., of Seward & Kissel LLP, will moderate the panel discussion.

Jennifer Magee is a New York City-based real estate development consultant and architect. She co-founded UPworld.com in 2007 as an on-line networking community and tool for international real estate, finance, architecture and building professionals to share expertise, develop deals and project ideas, generate leads, and easily create project and advisory teams at virtually any location in the U.S. and overseas. Relational communications trainer and networking guru Trish Rubin is President of The EdVentures Group and Trish Rubin’s New York Minute. Rubin is a member of the National Speakers Association and has spoken at international and national conferences and association meetings, most recently at the United Nations NGO/DPI general session. Olivia Fox Cabane is a speaking and communications coach, and founder of Spitfire Communications. She is also the author of The Pocket Guide to Becoming a Superstar in Your Field, a handbook on the art of networking. Fox Cabane is considered an authority on business relationship building, and has been featured and quoted by leading news and business media, including Bloomberg TV, MSN.com, Entrepreneur Magazine, BusinessWeek, The New York Times, and Smart Money. She has lectured on charisma at Yale University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard University.

Career advisor Gil Allison is Senior Vice President at Right Management Consultants. He consults businesses on attracting and developing highly competent employees and coaches individuals on the effective use of networking in managing professional advancement, career transition, and job search. Allison specializes in work with professional service clients and has published numerous articles on career development.
