PRESS RELEASE: Online Real Estate & Building Networking Site To Host Quarterly Networking Events For Industry Professionals

NEW YORK, NY, August 28, 2007 - UPworld, an exciting new online real estate and building business network (www.upworld.com) headquartered in New York City, is now hosting professional networking events on a quarterly basis in New York to bring professionals together not only online but also in person. These quarterly events allow members to meet face-to-face with other professionals, offering even more opportunity for UPworld members to establish valuable business and social connections.

UPworld brings the following industries together on a single platform – real estate, planning, finance, development, design, construction, fabrication, and products. Events are also open to nonmembers, so professionals can come to learn more about UPworld, meet some of its members, and sign up for a free membership. Professionals RSVP for each event directly through UPworld’s website. Additional professional networking events will be launched in other major U.S. cities by 2009.

UPworld’s first networking event is on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, 6pm-9pm, at Rogue Bar and Restaurant located in the heart of Chelsea (Rogue’s address: 757 6^th Avenue, New York, NY).

UPworld is also planning its next networking event for October 2007, co-hosted with the Young Real Estate Professionals of New York (YREPNY).

Launched in February 2007, UPworld has already received press in the May 2007 issue of Architect Magazine and the July 2007 issues of The Real Deal and New York Real Estate Journal. UPworld has over 1,200 professional members signed up and using the site. Members or “UPsters” can create an online profile and portfolio for free as well as contact other professionals on the network about job opportunities and deals. It provides a valuable means for members to advertise their own professional experience and obtain new business. Architects, designers, contractors, fabricators, developers, real estate brokers, loan officers, and planners are all members.
