We are excited to announce UPworld’s first online contest! Just Invite New Members to join UPworld from August through November and win great prizes. Members can win a 30GB video iPod! Runner-up prizes include a 1 GB iPod shuffle, Amazon.com gift certificates, and UPworld t-shirts.
The people you invite must join UPworld in order to count towards your total. You get credit for each professional that accepts your invite. Accepted invites are automatically credited to your profile – you don’t have to submit any entry forms or details – just start inviting people.
The official contest rules are as follows:
1. How to Enter: Participants invite other professionals to join UPworld, using the Invite New Members online form.
- The professional you invite must accept the invitation and join UPworld in order to count towards your total. Each person that accepts your invite counts once.
- Invites are for new member sign-ups only; invites sent to existing members will not be counted towards your total.
- Accepted invites are automatically processed for each member. No application or submission is required.
- Participants can invite up to ten (10) professionals per online form. There is no limit to the number of times a participant can fill out the online form.
- Participants are not required to change the standard message included on the online form.
- Invitations must be sent out between Wednesday, August 1, 2007 and Wednesday, November 14, 2007. Invitations sent outside of this time frame will not be counted.
- Invitations must be accepted by Wednesday, November 28, 2007. Invitations accepted after this time frame will not be counted.
- If an invitee who received an invite from 2 or more members joins UPworld, each member who invited this invitee to join gets a credit for this person.
2. How to Win: Participants win by accumulating the greatest number of accepted invitations.
- Participants can request a tally of their accepted invitations by emailing info@upworld.com.
- Participants can also monitor their own invites and acceptances through their My Network page.
- Participants cannot specifically request their current ranking with respect to other participants. Periodic announcements of winning stats will be made on the site.
- Any ties between members will be broken through a random drawing.
- Employees and affiliates of UPworld are not eligible to win.
- Winners will be announced Monday, December 3, 2007 on UPworld’s homepage. Winners will also be notified by email.
- Prizes are awarded based on who has the MOST INVITES ACCEPTED.

Third Place $75 Amazon.com gift certificate
Fourth Place $50 Amazon.com gift certificate
Fifth Place $25 Amazon.com gift certificate
